About Imam Anwar Arafat:

Anwar Arafat is a renowned speaker who has served as an Imam for over 11 Years in Salt Lake City, Memphis, and Nashville with a focus on dawah and programming for Muslim youth.

He is currently serving as a religious and social director for the Islamic Association of Greater Memphis which runs multiple mosques across the greater Memphis area.

He is also an Outreach Specialist and teacher at iERA USA (Islamic Education and Research Academy).

Imam Anwar was born in Utah, where his mother is from, and spent 10 years during his youth in Gaza City, Palestine, his father’s hometown. He went to school there -- fully in Arabic -- and was enrolled in the Qur’an memorization and Islamic Studies classes at the mosque for several years. He returned to the U.S. and earned his undergraduate degree in Film at the University of Utah. He went on to get his Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies from the Graduate Theological Foundation. He went on to get his Master's Degree in Islamic Education from the Islamic Seminary of America.

Finally, he studied at Ma’had Al-Furqaan in Kuwait, where he doubled as the program’s translator.
